i'm a survivor of child abuse and nighttime is the worst... it’s when everything goes quiet except for my head... it’s when all the demons come out to play and the past dances it’s triumph over my life...

today i awoke from a dream about the holidays... i hate the holidays... there’s nothing worse than forced, superficial happiness to remind me of how alone and lonely i am... but then i laughed cause i realized i’m alone and lonely every day, not just on the holidays...

so i wrote this poem about how i feel and put it to music:
